Larry Ingersoll
joined the police department in 1980 as a reserve officer and was appointed
a regular in 1982. Prior to this he worked in the printing industry
and in his spare time played drums in some area bands during the 70s.
Hobbies now include working in his yard, bowling, cribbage and playing
golf. During his police career he has spent most of his time either
working days or midnights (12 years there) and currently splits his
days as a 911 dispatcher and in the East Gloucester cruiser. He is currently
involved with the Civilian Police Academy.
Mark Foote worked in construction
and for the local cable TV company before he became a reserve officer
in 1984, making regular in 1988. Hobbies include photography and fire
department history. He currently works on the 4-12 shift assigned to
the Lanesville cruiser and is a frequent fixture working road construction
details. He is currently working on erecting a permanent memorial to
all police officers in an area near the station.
