I am taking the day off today. It is my birthday and I plan to spend the entire day being useless. See you tomorrow.
Thanks for reading.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel
insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission
to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates
others.

A very happy birthday to you! Sounds like the perfect way to spend it.
My warmest birthday wishes go out to you today. And a good thought for your day of idleness. I say that as I fondly remember one of my best idle days, playing pinochle with you, Karen Taphorn, the girl whose name I never remember and you at your apartment on Straub Avenue say 25+ years ago. I have spent many idle days but that one for some reason was memorable.
Accckkkk!! The dreaded gremlin who strikes unproofread comments strikes. A careful reading would make one think there were 5 of us, but that would be silly for pinochle.
I remember that --- it was you, me, Karen T. and Patty. It was a gorgeous summer day and you stopped by while Patty and Karen and I were just goofing off. We set up a table on the porch out back and started playing pinochle and you kept saying "I have to get back to work. I have to get back to work" but you stayed.
That was a fun day.
Thank you, Kristen. It was a nice day.
Of course I stayed. It was a pleasant time with very pleasant company and I would do that again anytime I could.
