Precious Gifts
I have been spending some time with Mark's mother --- we have a little project in the works and I'll talk more about that later. But, for the time being, I wanted to share a couple of precious gifts that people who appreciate Mark might enjoy. I've been scanning and touching up some old photos from his mother's collection and some of them are just plain wonderful. So, for the moment, there are two I want to post:
This was taken on Good Harbor Beach in July 1954. As you can see, the man Markis very evident in the boy. Look what he has in his hand. Yup! That's our boy!!!

That is Mark with his father, the football player Ted Williams.
More to come some day but, in the meantime, enjoy.
Thanks for reading.

What an adorable boy he was.
He sure was, and according to his mother, he was always very good -- polite and well-behaved. To hear him tell it he was a little Dickens but his mother has always said (even before he died) that he was her sweetest, most lovable child.
Kathleen, thank you for sharing these photos. It is an odd feeling to see the photos that show the dear boy that becomes the hunk.
He certainly was a hunk! There is one photo that I used in the little video I put on his Memorial page that is ... well ...
Of course, I didn't meet him until much later but I still always thought he was hunky.
I know you are in terrible pain, Kathleen, but in some ways you are also very lucky. I hope someday I meet someone that I can feel about the way you felt and still feel about him.
I can only imagine and envy that.
